Star Ferry Hong Kong
The best way to move back and forth between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon is the Star Ferry. Although there is a subway that runs between the islands, it is more expensive, more crowded and far less enjoyable. The Ferry runs every few minutes and will have you on the other island in just about 10 minutes. You will probably find that the ride is far too short! The view from the middle of Victoria Harbor is gorgeous. Magnificent architecture lines the harbor from both sides. Victoria Peak rises in the distance and the harbor traffic is a wonderful collection of every type of vessel imaginable. You will undoubtedly be moving back and forth between the islands during your stay, but if by some odd chance you really don't need to cross the harbor, do so anyway. It will be one of the most memorable, albeit short, voyages of your life.
