Las Vegas Hotels

In all honesty, one could probably check into a Las Vegas hotel and never leave until the vacation is over, as many hotels in Las Vegas include their very own casino, pools, shopping centers, restaurants and even adventure parks, making it a playground for adults and kids alike.

Stay at a hotel on the Las Vegas strip and you'll be in close proximity to roller coasters, pirate ships, a pyramid and of course casinos. Also right there on the strip is the Imperial Palace Auto Collection, a must for any car buff; the exhibit is home to over 200 cars of past presidents, gangsters and dictators.

Glitter Gulch in downtown Las Vegas seems to be in constant daylight due to the millions and millions of light bulbs that grace the buildings. Looking for souvenirs? This is where to shop. For something a little different in Las Vegas, go about a mile north of downtown and see the Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park. This small fort provided shelter for people travelling from Salt Lake City to San Bernardino in the 1850's.

Las Vegas hotels are home to some of the most exciting boxing matches ever. Many championship fights have been held in these hotels including the now famous Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield ear-biting match.

If you can pry your hands off the slots or your eyes away from the entertainment you'll notice there are other things to do in Las Vegas. Go out to the desert for some fantastic hiking or take a trip east and see the Hoover Dam. Swimming is divine in Lake Mead, which was created by the 727 foot high dam. The last thing you should do before returning to your Las Vegas hotel is view the Grand Canyon, even if you don't spend a lot of time hiking through, watch a sunset there and you'll never regret it.
