Covent Gardens London

"Something for everyone" is a tired cliche that is rarely ever true, but Covent Garden may very well be one of the few places in the world where the phrase is applicable. Originally designed as a garden, the district passed through a number of stages before being revitalized as a center for shopping, eating and the arts. There are plenty of boutiques and cafes, but the best shopping is around the Jubilee Art and Crafts Market Hall and in the many antique shops in the neighborhood. But don't get the idea that Covent Garden is a shopping center.

There are more theaters per square meter in Covent Garden than anywhere else in the world. If you don't want to purchase a ticket, just sit back and admire the talents of the ever-present street performers: jugglers, magicians, fire-eaters and more. Want to get away from the crowds? Check out the temporary exhibitions of art which are creatively displayed around the area. Even if you want to do nothing but enjoy some fresh air and a cup of tea, Covent Gardens is sure to satisfy you
