Since there's little happening out doors, any time is a good time to come to Reno. While, summer is warm, winter can get quite cold. You can get to Reno by the train, bus, driving or flying. The Reno-Cannon International Airport has flights to many western US cities and some other major US cities. Reno is also reachable by the Greyhound bus network. The airport is just a few miles from downtown allowing for easy access to your hotel.
