Night Safari Singapore Zoo

Anyone who has ever visited a zoo in the middle of the afternoon only to watch a series of animals napping in a nearly hidden corner of their habitats can immediately understand the value of a Night Safari. The Singapore Zoo's Night Safari is the world's premier night zoo that allows you to view animals in their nocturnal setting with the use of special illumination that simulates natural moonlight. As a result, visitors can see the animals carrying out activities that they normally do only under the cover of darkness. Not only do nocturnal creatures come alive after the sunsets.

There are over 1200 animals who reside in the Night Safari, allowing you get a glimpse of a side of them that normally stays hidden to traditional zoo guests: prowling, hunting, feeding and playing. Naturally, the area also serves an important role in the conservation and breeding of various species. The Night Safari is divided into 8 geographic regions. A tram will take you from region to region where you are invited to walk the individual trails and then meet up with a later tram to progress to the next region. The Night Safari is open from 7:30 until 11:00 PM.
