Water Activity In Thailand

This beautiful island in the Andaman Sea is a perfect destination for those looking to leave stress, traffic and concrete jungles behind. There is plenty to do on and in the water. Rent a Jet-Ski, Hobie Cat, or Windsurfing board and hit the waves. Or take flight in a parasail. If you prefer a larger, sturdier craft, talk to one of the many charter companies about a real sailing adventure.

If you feel up to it, you may want to try a sea kayak trip to Phang-nga Bay National Park, a 1 1/2-hour drive north of Phuket. There are 45 different scuba company operators on the island; a testament to the excellent conditions that allow even the most novice diver to explore the reefs. Scuba packages range from a short dip after a brief lesson, to full day dives for the more experienced. Fantasea Island has been in business longer than anyone else and has an outstanding reputation. Be advised that if you go to Phuket during the rainy season (May - October) you will find the seas too rough for any water activity.
